According to Luke Adams at MLBTR, Joe Beimel is weighing a contract offer from the Mets. Beimel represents a solid left handed reliever that would be a welcome addition to Pedro Feliciano. The Mets have lacked a second lefty for years and this would be a great move by the team. The deal is most likely for around $1 million. Beimel has stated that he is weighing the offer and taking his time, hoping for a better deal to come along.
