MLB.com reports the Padres have signed Garland. This is a good, cheap pickup for them. Never really a Met target, he will be a capable starter for them.
Apparently, Orlando Hudson is indicating that he is close to signing, but will not confirm the team. The Nats have been his strongest suitor this off season and this would continue a strong off season for the cellar dwellers.
Think the Mets will do anything?
