I was just listening to some hot stove talk on MLB.com during which they were discussing free agent Hank Blalock. At just 29 years old, Blalock represents a young, experienced option for the Mets. He had a tough stretch in 2007 & 2008 due to injuries. However, when healthy this guy drives in runs and hits for power. While I do believe he would be more suited for the AL where he could DH and play some in the field, Met fans have to be a little intrigued in Blalock if Delgado does not perform this winter and nothing else pops up on the trade market. He could be an affordable bridge to youngster Ike Davis.
I have not heard anything linking the Mets to Blalock, but that is not to say it may begin as the off-season rolls on. Would love to hear some comments from you regarding Blalock and whether you think the Mets should take a look.

Blalock is a good ballplayer and if he can stay healthy i for one am all for him coming to play at Citi
