Although he is not starting for his team in the Dominican Winter League, Rotoworld is reporting that Fernando Martinez is batting .341 and has a few steals. Playing well would send him into the next season on a good note coming off a couple simple injuries and a less than overwhelming 2008 season. He could figure into the equation for the second half of the season depending on signings and/or his play in what looks will be triple A to start.
